Obituary of Marian Kyle

Services are pending at this time for Marian Kyle, age 93, of Milford. 

Marian passed away on January 24, 2024 at Accura Healthcare in Milford.

Marian Lorraine Kyle, the daughter of George and Elsie (Kroemer) Carolus, was born on November 7, 1930. She attended and graduated from Cedar Falls High School. After high school, Marian worked for the phone company. She went on to meet her husband, Howard “Bud” Kyle, on a blind date while he was attending Iowa State Teacher College. The couple married on September 10, 1950, and went on to have three children: Karen, Jeff, and Chris. The family moved to Milford in 1956. Marian worked as a bookkeeper for Consumer Lumber, ASCS Office, and Tory Nodland Development. In her free time, she enjoyed golfing, playing bridge, and decorating her home. She was an Iowa Hawkeye fan and loved moments spent with her cat, Murphy.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Karen (Brian) Johnson and Jeff Kyle; grandchildren: Allison (Jeff) Emery, Lexanne (Mark) Clapp, Kyle (Christina) Johnson, Aaron (Samar) Kyle, Casey Kyle; two great-grandchildren, Victoria and Mitchell Emery.

Marian was preceded in death by her husband, Bud Kyle; son, Chris Kyle; and daughter-in-law, Deb Kyle.
