Obituary of Judy Siemers

A funeral service for Judy Siemers, 58, of Lake Park, will be held Saturday, February 10, 2024 at 10:30 AM Lake Park Methodist Church. Burial will be at Silver Lake Cemetery. A visitation for Judy will be on Friday, February 9th from 5:00-7:00 PM at Lake Park Methodist Church.

Judith Gay (Lair) Siemers was born on August 5, 1965, in Spirit Lake, Iowa. Judy passed away Monday, February 5, 2024, at her home in Lake Park, Iowa at the age of 58.

Judy attended Estherville High School then continued her education at Iowa Lakes Community College and finally received her bachelor’s degree from Buena Vista University in 2003.

Judy was united in marriage to Keith Siemers on August 29, 1999. From there they built their life in Lake Park. Judy was a member of the Lake Park Methodist Church. 

Judy was known for her vivacious personality that could fill a room. She enjoyed reading, especially Danielle Steel books, scrapbooking with friends, and traveling. But most of all, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Judy worked many jobs during her life, but was most proud of her work as a healthcare provider, caring for the elderly in the local communities in and surrounding Lake Park.

Left to cherish Judy’s memory is her husband of almost 25 years, Keith; children: Rylan Siemers, Katie (Arnie) Van Pelt, Kevin (Ashley) Siemers, Brian Siemers, and Stephanie (Mike) Birmingham;  grandchildren:  Quinton, Grayson, Liam, Maleah, Dylan, Addisyn, and Emmet.  She is also survived by her mother, Nona Lair and her siblings:  Mark (Tanna) Lair, Russel (Tammy) Lair, Larry (Pam) Lair, Scott (Lisa) Lair, Joy (Gene) Iverson and many nieces and nephews.

Judy is preceded in death by her father, Donald Lair, step-father, Robert Klein, and her mother-in-law, Leona Siemers.
