Sandra Gubbels

A funeral service for Sandra Gubbels, age 86, will be held Monday, December 29, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Turner Jenness Funeral Home in Spirit Lake. Burial will be at Lakeview Gardens Cemetery in Okoboji. 

Sandra passed away December 10, 2025 in Colorado.

Sandra Maxine Gubbels, daughter, sister, aunt and friend was born in Petersburg Minnesota on May 29th, 1939. She was the daughter of Donald Frank Christoffer and Frances Marie Demming. She was one of six children, four boys and two girls. She grew up on farms and then moved to Spirit Lake with the family where she graduated from Spirit Lake High School.

She worked at the Laundry, Berkeley’s, and did telemarketing. She gave loving support to her mother until she passed away. She always gave loving support to her son Michael and her granddaughter Maddie.

She got an opportunity to travel with her late husband, Patrick Gubbels, and was able to explore the West and visit her son in Colorado.

Sandra, you are a wonderful person and will be greatly missed.
