Marjorie Wood

A funeral service for Marjorie Wood, 83 of Spirit Lake will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at the Turner Jenness Funeral Home in Spirit Lake. Visitation for Margie will begin at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Marjorie Ethel Wood, the daughter of Sophia and Emil Nachtigal, was born July 3, 1935 in Terril, Iowa. The family later moved to Spirit Lake where she graduated from Spirit Lake High School. Marjorie loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed playing bingo, going to the casinos and traveling, especially to the Black Hills and visiting family in Colorado. She also loved flowers, especially sunflowers. Marjorie attended St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheldon, Iowa. Marjorie passed away November 16, 2018 at the Sanford Medical Clinic in Sheldon, Iowa at eighty-three years of age. She is survived by her children, Deanna Tolk of Sheldon, Iowa and David (Amy) Badgley of Milford, Iowa; grandchildren, Sarah, Max, Maddy, Lucas and Blake; two great-grandchildren, Parker and Xander. Marjorie was preceded in death by her mother, Sophia Nachtigal; brother, Ken Nachtigal; two spouses, Marland (Woody) Wood and Clark Badgley.
