Harvey Berg

Harvey Melven Berg, 70, passed away on May 28, 2026, in Spirit Lake, Iowa.

Harvey was born on August 9, 1955, in Forest City, Iowa, to Melven and Florence Berg. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who valued family above all else. Harvey will be remembered for his steady presence, caring heart, and the love he shared with those around him.

Harvey is survived by his wife, Nancy; son Andrew and Yulia Berg; daughter Alyssa Berg and Lance Boon; and granddaughter Emery. He is also survived by his brothers Bob Berg (Terry) and Lawrence Berg (Bonnie); brothers-in-law Mo Parvan, Steven Jueneman (Susan Wilmont), Toby Jueneman (Marilyn), Mike Jueneman (Jill), Jon Jueneman (Shirley), and Jim Jueneman (Shivonne); sisters-in-law Julie Jueneman Carlson (Jeff) and Beth Van Orman (Troy); along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Melven and Florence Berg; brother Marvin Berg; mother-in-law Georgine Jueneman; father-in-law Ed Jueneman; sister-in-law Terry Parvan; brother-in-law Jeff Jueneman; and nephew Mike Jueneman.

Harvey’s family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
