Edward Morse

A visitation for Edward Morse, age 76, of Milford will be held on Friday, June 14, 2024, from 5:00-7:00pm at the Turner Jenness Funeral Home in Milford. 

Edward Charles Morse, son of Nelson Edward Morse and Dorothy Elizabeth Greene Morse, passed away on Sunday, June 9th, 2024, in Spirit Lake, Iowa after a brief illness. Ed was born in Maine and attended Scarborough Schools and later spent two years at vocational school. 

He is survived by his two sisters, June Hartley and her companion of 39 years, Steve Emerson, of Biddeford, Maine and Donna Morse of Santa Cruz, California. 

Ed is preceded in death by his younger brother, James “Jim” Morse and his parents. 

Ed is also survived by his first niece, Donna J. Morse Smith and her husband, Jason Smith as well as their three children: Chase, Shayna, and Abby; second niece, Amanda Hartley Allen and her two children, Gage and Tamika. Ed is fondly remembered by his dear friend, Pat Norton, her sister, Donna, and a special buddy, Piper. Also, all of his friends at Perkins with whom he and Pat had morning coffee with. Ed’s humor and wit always gave people he met a smile in person and on Facebook. His love of animals was a passion for him. He was a cat dad. He also greatly enjoyed collecting coffee mugs from every state. He will be greatly missed.
