David Richardson

A memorial visitation for Dave Richardson, age 74, of Milford, will be held Monday, December 10 from 1:00-3:00pm at Turner Jenness Funeral Home in Milford. Memorials for the family may be mailed to Turner Jenness Funeral Home in Milford. David Eugene Richardson, the son of Harold and June (Wiley) Richardson, was born February 13, 1944 in Emmetsburg, Iowa. He attended school in Ware, Iowa before he began working on the family farm. He lived in the Lakes area for most of his life. Dave had worked at The Stables in Okoboji and was the head of maintenance for the "original" Boji Bay waterpark in Milford. Dave also operated his own lawn care and snow removal business. He loved his dog "the outlaw " Josie Jo. She was so very important to him. He also loved dodge trucks, moving snow and the Washington Redskins. Dave passed away December 1, 2018 at seventy-four years of age. Dave is survived by his mother, June Richardson of Spencer, Iowa; daughter, Jennifer Rogness and her husband, Nick, of Rochester, Minnesota; grandchildren, Anna Rogness and Erin Rogness; sisters, Marjorie Harris of Thornton, Iowa and Nancy Heckathorn of Storm Lake, Iowa; brothers, Brian Richardson of Indianapolis, Indiana, Neil Richardson of Fonda, Iowa and Steven Richardson of Kansas City, Missouri; special friend, Kathy of Spirit Lake, Iowa; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Harold; infant twin sisters; sister, Marlene Casey; and brother, Les Richardson.
