Carolyn Jungjohan

A Memorial Service for Carolyn Jungjohan, age 68, of Adrian, MN formerly of Lake Park, IA will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at 11:00am at the Turner Jenness Funeral Home in Spirit Lake. Visitation will take place prior to the service from 10:00-11:00am at the funeral home in Spirit Lake.

Carolyn Mae Jungjohan, the daughter of William and Darlene (Kilker) Jungjohan, was born on July 30, 1957, in Spirit Lake, Iowa. She attended Sioux Valley Consolidated School.

Carolyn lived in Lake Park, Iowa, for most of her life before entering the Sunrise View Assisted Living in Adrian, Minnesota. She was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Lake Park, Iowa. She worked on the family farm, helping her dad, and was especially proud of her red International tractor.

Carolyn enjoyed crocheting, doing crafts, and reading books. She also enjoyed her time at

Sunrise View Assisted Living, where she frequently played—and won—many games of BINGO.

Carolyn passed away on December 7, 2025, at the Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sisters: Karen Meyer of Hull, Iowa; Judy Van Westen of Adrian, Minnesota; Dianne Gilmore of Jackson, Minnesota and Jody (Jeff) Vander Bush of Boyden, Iowa; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William “Bill” and Darlene Jungjohan; and brothers-in-law, Mark Van Westen, Leroy Meyer, and Roger Jack Lathrop.
