Betty Kluver

A visitation for Betty Kluver, age 95 of Lake Park, will begin at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at Turner Jenness Funeral Home in Lake Park. Following the visitation there will be a graveside service at 11:00 AM at Silver Lake Cemetery in Lake Park.

Betty Virginia Kluver, daughter of Tom and Mary (Ludwigs) Ruble, was born on November 30, 1930, in Le Mars, Iowa. She graduated from Le Mars High School.

On August 20, 1949, Betty was united in marriage to Lowell Kluver. Throughout her life, Betty worked for K-Products in Le Mars and Orange City and later became co-owner of Soddies and Lake Side Grill. Over the years, she made her home in Le Mars, Worthington, Minnesota, Brunsville, Iowa and Merrill, Iowa, before settling in Lake Park, Iowa, in 1983.

Betty was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. She found joy in many simple hobbies including baking, reading, sewing, puzzles, cooking, gardening, and bird watching.

Betty passed away on June 19, 2026, at the Estherville Community Care Center in Estherville, Iowa, at ninety-five years of age.

She is lovingly survived by her daughters, Rhonda Merritt and her husband, Bruce, and Linda Downs and her husband, Rowland; her sons, Tom Kluver and his wife, Laurie, and Kevin Kluver and his wife, Barb; 16 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and 19 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell Kluver; her mother, Mary Ruble; father, Thomas Ruble and her sister, Delores Ruble.
