Adeline Dagel

January 24, 1932 — November 22, 2019

A funeral service for Adeline Dagel, 87 of Lake Park will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at Excelsior United Methodist Church of rural Milford.  Visitation will begin Tuesday morning at church one hour prior to the service.  Burial will be at the Silver Lake Cemetery in Lake Park.

Lorraine Adeline, the daughter of Peter and Frances (Fijalek) Dunai, was born January 24, 1932 in Lakefield, Minnesota.

On April 1, 1951, Adeline was united in marriage to Marvin Tony Dagel. She worked at home while raising the children and after Marvin retired, they moved to Lake Park in 1980.

Adeline was a member of the Excelsior United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and Silver Star Rebecca Lodge. She taught summer Bible School and Sunday School, enjoyed embroidery, flowers, gardening, baking bread and fishing. She also loved to dance, sing and cherished her time with her family.

Adeline passed away November 22, 2019 at Pearl Valley Care Center in Lake Park, Iowa at eighty-seven years of age.

She is survived by her husband, Marvin Dagel; daughter, Starla Clark and her husband, Ken, son, Dennis Dagel and his wife, Susan and daughter, Janice Pohlman and her husband, Keith; eight grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren; brother, George Dunai and sister, Betty McBride.

Adeline was preceded in death by her parents; son, Terry; brothers and sisters, Joe Dunai, Vernon Dunai, Donald Dunai, Eddie Dunai, Walter Dunai, Frank Dunai, Blanche Christiansen, Evelyn Knorr, Verna Sanders, Helen Kolander, Mary Sjodahl, Bernice Fasel, Irene Gehrls and Lillian Dunai.
