Merle Wickman has been on staff at Turner Funeral Homes since 1983. He is a graduate of Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science and a 20-year licensed Iowa Funeral Service Practitioner. Merle is also licensed as a Minnesota funeral practitioner. Merle and his wife Barb have two children: Sarah, a marine biologist for Disney at Epcot and Amity, a student at Okoboji High School.

Richard (Dick) Seger, a member of Iowa Funeral Directors Association for 40 years, attended Iowa State University and received his Mortuary Science Degree from St. Louis College of Mortuary Science in 1955. He and his wife Marvel have been involved in funeral service since 1956. They have 8 grown children. Prior to joining Turners, they were part-owners of Farber & Otteman Funeral Homes (1969 to 1999) in Buena Vista and Sac Counties. They are members of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Spirit Lake. Dick is a member of the Knights of Columbus.
