Burial:  Valley View Cemetery in Graettinger, Iowa

Visitation:  Tuesday, February 16, 2010 after 3:0pm with the family present from 5:00-7:00pm at the Turner Funeral Home in Spirit Lake

Louis Dean Frank was born on February 9, 1931 in Emmetsburg, Iowa, the son of Joe and pearl (Van Note) Frank.  He served in the United States Navy during the Korea War and was honorably discharged in 1954.

On October 2, 1961, Dean was united in marriage to Shirley Andersen in Fairmont, Minnesota.  The couple moved to Spirit Lake, Iowa where Dean worked in manufacturing.  He enjoyed ham radio, CB, camping, yard work and taking care of kids.

Dean passed away February 14, 2010 at the Lake Park Care Center in Lake Park, Iowa at seventy-nine years of age.

He is survived by his son, Robert Frank and his wife Glenda; daughter, Sarah Adams and her husband Elliott; son, Lyle Frank and his wife, Kim; five grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and 3 step-grandchildren.

Dean was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Frank and parents, Joe and pearl Frank.
