James (Jim) Wilson, son of Wade Howard and Pearl Louise Nelson Wilson, was born February 8, 1930 at home in Milford, Iowa. He attended Milford School until 3rd grade. He resided in Milford, IA his entire life.

Jim worked hard all his life. His early years were spent working with his father & brothers operating the family excavating & dragline business where he operated the heavy equipment machines and always laid a straight line of tile. He then worked for a farmer at Ruthven, IA. He spent 28 years working as a hired hand doing chores, milking cows & farming for the Dickinson County Care Facility, and then worked at Syndergaard Excavating until his retirement.

He enjoyed watching RFD-TV and driving around the country-side keeping track of the area crops and was fascinated by the construction of the wind turbines around the lakes area. He enjoyed his afternoon coffee time at Buy Rite and keeping up with the town news. He looked forward to Lois & Marvin coming up every weekend to visit and enjoy a meal together. He loved kids and always asked how his nieces and nephews were doing. He always enjoyed visiting with his next door neighbors, Don & Delores Schwaller. During his short stay at the Milford Nursing Center, he praised the nursing staff for their wonderful care and concern.

Jim passed away at Lakes Regional Healthcare in Spirit Lake, IA on October 7, 2010.

He is survived by his brothers Howard and Joyce Wilson of Milford, Earl and Doris Wilson of Sierra Vista, AZ; his sister Dorothy Davis of Sierra Vista, AZ; his sister-in-law Helen Wilson of Fort Wayne, IN; his special niece Lois and Marvin Trojahn of Moneta, IA; many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Arlene & husband Jeffie Stovin; brothers Dick Wilson and Robert and wife Madge; sister-in-law Elaine Wilson and brother-in-law Verlan Davis.
