Visitation:  Monday, September 27, 2010 after 4:00pm at the Turner Jenness Funeral Home in Lake Park.  The family will be present from 4:00-6:00pm.

Funeral:  Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at 10:30AM at the United Methodist Church in Lake Park.

Burial:  Silver Lake Cemetery, Lake Park

David Dean Heuer was born November 19, 1955 in Salem, Oregon, the son of Edwin Sr. and Martha (Lytsell) Heuer.  On June 22, 1977, Dave was united in marriage to Betsey Fliflet in Mount Carroll, Illinois.

Dave lived in Stockton, Illinois, Savanna Illinois, Salem, Oregon and Marysville, California before moving to Lake Park, Iowa in 1990.

He enjoyed reading, drawing, camping, going to the gun range and sci-fiction.  He especially loved spending time with his kids and grandkids.

Dave passed away September 24, 2010 at his home in Lake Park at fifty-four years of age.

He is survived by his wife, Betsey Heuer of Lake Park; sons, Nathan Heuer of Lake Park and Matthew Heuer (Autume) of Milford; daughter, Mandy Urban (Matthew) of Northwood, Iowa; one granddaughter, Alexis; two grandsons, Caden and James; sisters, Jean Asche of Bluejacket, Oklahoma, Karen (Lee) Ishmael of Yuba City, California and Cheryl (Roy) Bourg of Marysville, California; brother, Daniel Heuer of Olivehurst, California; many nephews, nieces and friends.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
