William A. Peterson was born February 13, 1949 in Austin, Minnesota, the son of Richard and Marion (Johnson) Peterson.  He graduated from Austin High School and attended University of Minnesota and Florida Atlantic University. 

William moved to Milford, Iowa and worked as a handyman, woodworker and in boat restoration.  William enjoyed classic rock, chess, fishing and boating.

William passed away October 27, 2010 at his home in Milford, Iowa at sixty-one years of age.

He is survived by his sister, Barbara (James) Carriger of Edina, Minnesota; nephews and great-nieces; two aunts and one uncle; several cousins and their families; countless friends in Iowa, Florida and Minnesota.

William was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Marion Peterson.

Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society or to a charity of choice.
