Wilfred (Will) Fasching as born March 4, 1928 at Winsted, Minnesota to Raymond and Louise Lester Fasching. On March 7, 1945 at age 17 he enlisted in the US Navy. Will served 30 years in 3 wars, WWll, Korea and Viet Nam. He was discharged August 1, 1975.

In 1968 he was married to Esther Jean Moore. He married Doris Tonderum in 1978. They lived in San Diego until moving to Spirit Lake in 1988. They owned Pioneer Beach resort until 2001. Will also drove truck for Stoller Fisheries.

Will died November 18 at Lakes Regional Hospital.

Surviving is his son, Arthur Fasching of Henderson, NV; grandson, A. J. Fasching of Henderson, NV; brother, John Fasching of Salida, CO; 2 sisters, Dorothy Shepperd, Stewartsville, MN and Ruth Stonecypher of Charles City, Iowa; 3 stepsons, Robert Tonderum, Winnie, TX, William Bass, Holladay, TN and Lee Brannon, Newton, KS; and close friends, Roxane Slifer and Tom Opheim.
