A graveside funeral service for Cathy Paxton, 62, of Lake Park was held Saturday, June 5, 2009 at Silver Lake Cemetery, Lake Park. Donna Grey officiated.

Cathy was born March 9, 1947 at Mora, Minnesota to Chester and Dora Paxton. She graduated from Lake Park High School. She worked at the Lake Park Care Center for many years. Cathy enjoyed reading and did some writing, but most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Cathy died April 23 at the Hilltop Care Center in Spirit Lake.

She is survived by her son, Joshua Paxton and wife ,Tiffany, Spirit Lake; grandchildren Grace and Jack Paxton; sisters, Patricia Burrow and husband, Don, Muscatine, IA, Barbara Ackerman, Princeton, MN, and Jert Lee and husband, Richard, Lake Park; and brother, Mike Paxton and wife, Deb, West Okoboji, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Dora Paxton. Turner Funeral home of Spirit Lake.
