Allie Mae Threde

Allie Mae Threde was born October 19, 1916 in Milford, Iowa. She was the youngest child of Harry Wilson and Kate Smith Wilson. She grew up in Milford and graduated from Milford High School on May 16th, 1935. She worked as a telephone operator for Northwestern Bell in Spencer, Iowa, until 1950. She later worked for many years as a Bookkeeper for Jaycox Implement in Lake Park.

On August 22, 1950 Allie Mae married Lee Threde and moved to Lake Park. She and Lee enjoyed many activities together including golf and bowling. Allie Mae was a champion golfer and a founding member of the Silver Lake Country Club. She was also a member of the United Methodist Women, the Legion Auxiliary and the Silver Lake Cemetery Society. Allie Mae loved to play cards with her friends and could often be found playing Crazy Eights with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband Lee. She continued to travel after Lee passed away, participating in several bus tours around the country with her girlfriends.

Allie Mae was preceded in death by her husband Lee. She is survived by her step son Roger Threde and his wife Sheryl of Prairie Village, KS, granddaughter Shawna Shaw and her husband Ben of Leawood, KS, grandson Jeffrey Threde and his wife Stephanie of Round Lake, IL and four great grandchildren, Eden, Emery, Zachary and Alyssa.
