Mary Lou Gossman

Mary Lou Gossman was born March 27, 1921 at Stanwood, Iowa to Elmer and Hope (Mattingly) Denkman. She graduated from high school at Stanwood.

On December 21, 1941 she married James Robert Gossman. They made their home at Tipton, Iowa. They also lived at Cedar Rapids and Spencer before moving to Milford in 1945. Mary Lou attended Milford Baptist Church. Other interests and activities were knitting, reading, gardening, visiting the elderly, Christian Bible study groups, card club and square dancing.

She died April 13, 2008 at the Milford Care Center.

Surviving are her son, David Gossman of Milford and daughter, Sharon Longley of Tucson, AZ several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jim, and brother, Raymond.

Mary Lou was a caring and compassionate person. She had a positive attitude and didn’t complain. She loved her family. As a follower of Christ, she loved the Lord, and is celebrating with Him in Heaven.
