Francis “Jack” Marchand Jr. of Spencer passed away Thursday, November 27, 2008 at The Veterans Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota after a three year battle with cancer.

Jack was born January 25, 1963 at Spirit Lake to Francis “Jack” Marchand Sr. and Marcia Ross Marchand.  He served in the U. S. Army, as well as the Nevada National Guard.

Left to mourn his passing are his parents, Jack and Marcia Marchand of Milford; brother, Dan and Deanna Marchand of Terril; sisters, Teresa Marchand of Milford and Jane and Steve VandeWeerd of Hospers; nieces, Heather Marchand and Hope Verdoorn; nephews, Heath Marchand and Austin Verdoorn; great nephew, Dominic Connor; aunts, uncles, cousins, and special friends, including step-children, Anthony, Anastasia and her daughter, Raylen, and their mother, Bonnie.

Jack was preceded in death by grandparents, Herb and Anna Ross, Francis and Elizabeth Marchand and aunts and uncles, Darrell Marchand, Pat and Harold Smith, Charles McDowell and Judy Ross.
