Esther Frances Olson, a resident of Terril, was born September 12, 1918 in Sioux City, Iowa, the daughter of Otto and Nellie (Reekers) Pekelder. She departed this life Saturday, December 6, 2008 in her son’s home at the age of ninety.

In 1956, she was united in marriage with Myrl Allen Olson, who survives her. She is also survived by three sons, David Olson of Fresno, California; Gary Olson of Bryant, Iowa and Douglas Olson of Huntsville, Arizona; one daughter, Janice Adams of Bakersfield, California; two sisters, Alice Ficscarro of Denver, Colorado and Irene Sigelke of Primghar, Iowa; one brother, Gary Pekelder of Sioux City; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Olson was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, two sisters and one brother.
