Cecelia Mary Schumacher Clark was born on November 20, 1905 in Constance, Nebraska, the daughter of Joseph and Emma Bruns. She was united in marriage to Herman Schumacher on September 30 in Constance. The couple moved to Spirit Lake and has lived here for sixty-five years.

Cecelia worked at the Spirit Lake High School and Okoboji Dairy. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters and enjoyed crocheting, crafts and playing cards.

Cecelia passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2008 at the Hilltop Care Center in Spirit Lake, Iowa at one hundred and two years of age.

She is survived by her son, Donavon J. Schumacher and daughters, LeeAnna Nielsen, Darlene Godbold and Karen Blake.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husbands, Herman J. Schumacher and Alton Clark.
