Arnold "Tony" Lane

Arnold Fred Lane was born to Fred and Mary (Berg) Lane at Peterson, Iowa on May 26, 1931.  In 1949 he graduated from Peterson High school.  He served his country in the U.S. Army from 1952 to 1954 during the Korean Conflict.
           
On February 5, 1955 he was united in marriage to Veree D. Rustan at Fairmont, Minnesota.  They lived in Spencer, North Hollywood, CA for six months, Arnolds Park and have resided in Milford since 1960.

Tony retired from Kanab Pipeline after many years of service.

Mr. Lane died Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at the Spencer Municipal Hospital after a sudden illness. He was 76 years of age.

He was a member of the First Lutheran Church, Milford American Legion Post 384, a Past Commander in 1969, and a member of Milford Fire Dept. for 30 years.  He loved to golf, woodworking, camping and napping in his recliner.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 53 years, Veree Lane of Milford, son Terry Lane and his wife, Mary of LeMars, IA, two daughters, Penny Baschke, and husband, Dennis of Milford, and Cheryl Ihrke and her husband, Clyde of Spirit Lake, seven grandchildren, Tina, Tara, Tyler, Jillian, Alison, Cliff and Patrick, and three great grandchildren, Jasmin, Brennan, and Caden.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Mary Lane, and brother, Donald Lane.
