Tillie Olson
On December 27, 1947 she was united in marriage to Richard Olson at the Terril Methodist Church. Dick and Tillie had three children: Terry, Lynn, and Becky. They farmed the family farm until their retirement in 1988. They continued living on the farm after retirement. Tillie moved into the Ruthven Community Care Center in May of 2006. She belonged to the Terril United Methodist Church, and was a past member of Eastern Star at Terril. Tillie loved being outside with nature, gardening, mowing lawn, watching the birds, playing the piano, sewing, and spending time with her family. Tillie joined our Savior in Heaven on January 28, 2007 at the Ruthven Community Care Center, at the age of 76. Left to honor and cherish her memory are her husband, Richard of Terril; children: Terry Olson and his wife, Deb of Terril, Lynn Salton and her husband, Eben of Webb, and Becky Shatter and her husband, Ron of Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Grandchildren include Robin Brown and her husband, Jason, Shannon Olson, Kelly Olson, Brian Salton, Amy Salton, Jacob Shatter, and Darren Shatter. Precious to her heart were two great granddaughters, Kylie and Kaitlyn Brown. Tillie was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Bob Noble. Bob's wife, Gwen still resides in Milford. Tillie (Noble) Olson was born August 28, 1930 to Gary and Grace (Plautz) Noble in rural Cherokee County, Iowa. She attended grade school in Aurelia and Melvin. Her high school years were spent at Okoboji Township Consolidated School.
