Funeral services are pending for Todd John Bunde, 43, of West Valley City, Utah and formerly of Estherville. He died January 9 at his residence in West Valley City. He is the son of Eugene and Cleo Bunde of Estherville.

Todd was born August 22, 1963 at Spencer. The family farmed east of Arnolds Park. He enlisted in the U. S. Army and served at Ft. Benning and Ft. Stewart in Georgia in 1982 and 1983.

He worked as a heavy equipment operator and mechanic in California, Iowa, South Dakota and Florida. The past five years he had been working in Utah.

Surviving are his parents Eugene and Cleo Bunde of Estherville; sisters, Diane Addison and her husband, Steve, of Portland, OR, and their children Stephan, Ashley and Alicia and Tracey Mitchell and her husband, Damen of Warrenton, OR, and their children Amber and Kyler; brother Tim Bunde and his wife, Jodi, of Spencer, and their daughter Lydia and several aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Matila Bunde and James and Daisy Coleman.
