Serral (Jack) Paulson, 95, of Spirit Lake and formerly of Eagle Grove, Iowa passed away, Friday, August 17, at Spirit Lake.

Jack lived most of his life in Humboldt and Wright Counties.  He operated a small trucking company in Rutland, Iowa, owned and operated a motel in Clarion and an A and W in Eagle Grove.  He was a member of the Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran Church of Eagle Grove.  Jack moved to Spirit Lake in May, 2007.

Surviving are his daughters, Jacque Nielsen and husband, Arliss, of Woolstock and Barbara Giese and Ron Harris of Spirit Lake; 4 grandchildren, Randy Nielsen of Mason City, Todd Nielsen of Webster City, Shelly Hogan of Weston, WI, and Troy Johnston of Lakewood, CO; 10 great grandchildren; and sister, Gladys Paulson, Eagle Grove, IA.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 71 years, Doris (Dolly); 3 brothers, and 4 sisters.

Private family memorial services will be held at a later date at the Ullensvang Cemetery, Thor, Iowa.  Turner Funeral Home of Spirit Lake in charge of the arrangements.
