Phyllis Rae Heuer was born October 4, 1935 at Lake Park, Iowa the daughter of Harry and Elvera (Bunning) Reimers. She was raised and educated in Lake Park, graduating from Lake Park High School.

On June 24, 1956, Phyllis was united in marriage to Lyle Heuer in Lake Park. The couple made their home in Lake Park where they raised their children, Craig, Margo and Nancy.

Phyllis was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Lake Park. She enjoyed needlepoint, walking, dancing and reading. She also enjoyed visiting with friends and family, especially playing with her grandchildren. She was a wonderful wife, mother and homemaker.

Phyllis passed away Saturday, January 27, 2007 at Lakes Regional Healthcare in Spirit Lake at seventy-one years of age.

She is survived by her loving husband, Lyle; children, Craig Heuer, his wife Marcia, and their children Amy, Alex and Kierstin Wax, Michael and Dustin Heuer and Kayla Heuer; Margo Zupke, her husband Sam, their children Matt and Micah; Nancy Lais, her husband Ray, and their children Ashle and Lexie. Phyllis is also survived by her brothers, Melvin Reimers (Loraine) and Bob Reimers (Rita); sisters, Janice Clark (Merel) and Harriet Hansen (Harvey); sister-in-law, Mary Lou Heuer; nephews, nieces, other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Elvera Reimers and brother-in-law, Dean Heuer.
