Marvine Rickabaugh

Marvine Rickabaugh was born in Decatur, IL on November 15, 1912. She spent her childhood in Osceola and Lyon counties in Iowa. She graduated from Sibley High School in 1930 and then attended Mankato Commercial College in Mankato, Minnesota

She was united in marriage to Richard Rickabaugh on July 30, 1933 in the United Evangelical Church in Allendorf, IA. To this union were born two sons, Donald and Robert.

After their marriage they moved to Harris where they resided until January, 1968. She was the bookkeeper in her husband’s sand, gravel and soft water service for thirty years. She was also the bookkeeper for the Okoboji Amusement Company at Okoboji, Iowa for many years.

In 1968 they moved permanently to their home on West Okoboji where they spent the summers and resided in North Miami Beach, FL in the winter months.

Marvine passed away on March 17, 2007 at the Milford Nursing Center in Milford, Iowa at ninety-four years of age.

She leaves to mourn her passing, two sons, Donald and his wife Arlene of Little Rock and Robert of Okoboji; seven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; nephew, Dean Brinkman of San Bernando, CAalifornia.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard on April 19, 1975.
