Marlyn D. “Bud” Brueggeman Marlyn D. “Bud” Brueggeman
was born October 21, 1924 in Worthington, Minnesota the son of Henry
and Maggie (Ihnen) Brueggeman. He was raised in Harris, Iowa.
Bud was united in marriage to Marjorie A. Gould on July 6, 1949 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Harris, Iowa. The couple made their home outside of Harris where they farmed. In 1975 the couple moved to Lake Park. Bud was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Harris, where he was a Past Treasurer. He was also a member and past president of the Osceola County Cattle Feeders and a founding member of the Iowa Corn and Soybean Association. He loved to dance and enjoyed tractor pulling, in which he was a two-time Minnesota State Champion. Above all, he loved his family, especially watching his grandchildren in their sport activities. Bud died Saturday, June 9, 2007 at Lake Park Care Center in Lake Park at eighty-two years of age. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a daughter, Gee Dee. He is survived by his wife Marjorie of Lake Park; children, Steve Brueggeman, his wife Linda, and their children, Wade, Jonathan, Joshua and Kyle; Al Brueggeman, his wife Judy, and their children, Allison and Nate; and Brian Brueggeman, his wife Laurie, and their children, Samantha and Miranda. He is also survived by two great grandchildren, and other family and many friends. In Loving Memory
