Jean Wolf was born February 1, 1935 at Lake Park, Iowa to Charles and Blanche Schwarzenbach. She graduated from Sioux Valley High School.

On February 12, 1956 she was married to Harold Wolf at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sioux Valley, Minnesota. They made their home in Ashton, Iowa until moving to Spirit Lake in 1965. Spirit Lake was her home for 41 years, until she moved to Sioux Falls 2 years ago.
Jean was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and its Ladies Circle, a bowling league, golf league and bridge club. She also enjoyed bingo, crocheting, bird watching, gardening and fishing.

Death came on May 10 at Sioux Valley/Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls.

Survivors are her daughters, Peggy Wolf Voss, Patti (Bruce) Janes, and Pepper Wolf; son, Philip (Jodi) Wolf; grandchildren, Jeremy and Rose Voss, Jamy (Voss) and Derek Rogers and Emilee Wolf; great grandson, Thomas Jay Rogers; friend-of-the-family, Brian Vander Aarde; sister, Joyce Lavander; brothers, Jack and Jay Schwarzenbach; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Harold in 2001, parents Charles and Blanche Schwarzenbach and son-in-law, Darwin Voss.
