Harold G. Crosby

Harold Gideon Crosby was born on March 31, 1915 in Denver, CO, the son of Howard Prescott and Louella (Wesche) Crosby. The family moved to Spirit Lake in 1924, making the Crosby family one of the first settlers in this area.

On March 21, 1964, Harold was united in marriage to Alice Noordhoek in Spirit Lake, IA. The couple had two children, Allen and Elizabeth. Harold farmed until his retirement. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family. His family meant a great deal to him.

Harold passed away on February 9, 2007 in Rochester, MN at ninety-one years of age.

Harold is survived by his wife, Alice; son, Allen Crosby of Spirit Lake; daughter, Elizabeth Leila Schreiner of, Carlise, PA; granddaughters, Stephanie Crosby and Jazzmine Rosalee Schreiner; niece, Helen Morgan of West Monroe, LA; nephews, James Crosby and his wife Karen, Paul Crosby and his wife Shirley, Philip Crosby and his wife Judy and John Crosby Jr. and his wife Sue.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard Prescott Crosby and Louella Crosby; sisters, Annie Elizabeth, Margaret and Lura Crosby; brothers, George H., Dean H., Haines P., and John H. Crosby, Sr.
