Donald D. Packebush
Don moved to Alaska in 1977 and worked for Robinson Millwork as a sales manager. He was united in marriage to Lauri Woodland on December 22, 1979 in Anchorage, Alaska. His family wrote: "His door was always open to family and friends who were often greeted with an infectious smile, wit and a home brew. A lifelong Democrat, Don loved nothing better than engaging in political debate. He pushed all of us intellectually to continue to pursue education and self-learning. He was a loving father and husband and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.” He is survived by his wife, Lauri Packebush of Anchorage; sons, Tage and Dylan Packebush of Anchorage; mother,Ruth Packebush of Milford; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jack and Jean Woodland of Anchorage; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ed and Brenda Packebush of Milford, and Dick and Darolyn Packebush of Lake Park, Iowa; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bill and Judy Woodland of Anchorage; and many nieces and nephews in Alaska and Iowa. Donald Dean Packebush was born Nov. 19, 1953, in Estherville, Iowa, to Ruth and Merle Packebush. He graduated from Milford High School in 1971 and attended Iowa State University, majoring in chemistry.
