Donald D. Packebush
Don moved to Alaska in 1977 and worked for Robinson Millwork as a sales manager. He was united in marriage to Lauri Woodland on December 22, 1979 in Anchorage, Alaska. His family wrote: "His door was always open to family and friends who were often greeted with an infectious smile, wit and a home brew. A lifelong Democrat, Don loved nothing better than engaging in political debate. He pushed all of us intellectually to continue to pursue education and self-learning. He was a loving father and husband and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.” He is survived by his wife, Lauri Packebush of Anchorage; sons, Tage and Dylan Packebush of Anchorage; mother,Ruth Packebush of Milford; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jack and Jean Woodland of Anchorage; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ed and Brenda Packebush of Milford, and Dick and Darolyn Packebush of Lake Park, Iowa; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bill and Judy Woodland of Anchorage; and many nieces and nephews in Alaska and Iowa.
