Daryl “Pep” Newbrough

Daryl Earl “Pep” Newbrough was born May 20, 1929 at Fostoria, Iowa to Earl and Louise Struchen Newbrough.  He graduated from Milford High School in 1948.  Pep served in the US Army in Korea from 1951 to 1953.

On  November 11, 1960 he was married to Deloris Hasara at Sioux Falls, SD.  As a young man he worked as a farmhand, then was employed for 35 years for Farmers Exchange until he retired in 1992.
           
He attended the First Presbyterian Church of Lake Park and the Round Lake (MN) American Legion Post.  Other interests were woodworking and fishing.
           
Pep died December 17, 2007 at Hilltop Care Center in Spirit Lake, Iowa.
           
Surviving are his wife, Deloris; three sons, Mark Hasara (Sharon) of Brighton, TN, Bruce Hasara (fiancé, Inez) of Lake Park and Tim Newbrough (special friend, Connie) of Lake Park; eight grandchildren; six great grand-children; brother, Donald (Dorothy) Newbrough; sister, Judy Smith (Jim) of Richmond, MN and nine nieces and nephews.
           
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Jane Hasara and son, Kevin Hasara.
