Dalton D. Morphew Dalton D. Morphew was born September
9, 1926 in Nora Springs, Iowa, the son of Alma McClure and Fae Morhew.
The family moved to Lake Park in 1937.
Dalton entered the US Marines in 1944, serving during WWII until receiving an Honorable Discharge in 1946. Dalton was united in marriage to Elaine Jaycox on November 14, 1948 in Spirit Lake, Iowa. The couple made their home near Lake Park, where they farmed and raised their family. Dalton was a member of the United Methodist Church. He was also a member of the American Legion. Dalton enjoyed wood carving and lapidary. Dalton passed away Monday, March 26, 2007 in Lake Park, Iowa at eighty years of age. He is survived by his wife, Elaine Morphew of Lake Park; children, Rick Morphew and his wife, Tammy of Lincoln, Nebraska, Kenneth Morphew and his wife Marcia, of Armstrong, Iowa; Tamie Morphew of Jackson, Minnesota and Trent Morphew and his wife Darcy of Hartley, Iowa. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a brother, Corwith, of Kamiah, Idaho. He was preceded in death by his mother, Alma McClure, father, Fae Morphew, brothers, Billy, Bert and Kenneth. In Loving Memory
