David W. King

David William King was born June 7, 1946 at Watertown, Minnesota to Charles and June King. He graduated from Watertown High School in 1964.

He served as a Marine in Vietnam during 1968 to 1969. After moving to Lake Parkher worked for Doug Pohlman for 15 years and for the City of Lake Park for 7 years. He was a dedicated employee and took pride in his work.

David enjoyed many activities: fishing, hunting, camping, gardening, spending time with grandchildren, and playing cards.

David died at his home in Lake Park on June 19 after an extended illness.

Surviving are his sons, Phil King and his wife, Judy, and Paul King, all of Harris, Iowa; wife in his heart, Leslie Hoffman and her children, Shane Hoffman and wife Roxy, Lance Hoffman and wife Melissa, Paige Colligan and husband Brad; six grandchildren, Kirstin, Noah, Cory, Taylor, Grant and Will; brothers and sisters, Diane (Marvin) Thornburg, Don (Kim) King, Delores (Ervin) Hatting, Debra (James) Veen, Dan (Shirley) King, Denise Snyder and Doug King.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and June and two sisters, Darla and Dottie.
