Grandma’s Love
Grandma’s love is the kind of love
That showers you like a warm spring rain,
Or comforts you like a bedtime lullaby
With it’s sweet refrain
It is the kind of love that swells within you
making your heart strain.
Grandma’s love knows no bounds,
It burst within you like a flower
in soft springtime grounds,
It is soft and tender and overflowing,
Making a special kind of sound.
Grandma’s love there will always be,
Like the trunk of a steady old oak tree,
That kind of love costs nothing,
And it is given freely,
Especially to lucky grandkids like me.
