Cody Lee Thackrey was born October 11, 1989 in Worthington, Minnesota the son of Kimberly Kay (Thackrey) Koffron.

Cody lived near Dunnell, Minnesota and Spirit Lake, Iowa before moving to La Plata, Missouri in 2006.  He was a senior at La Plata High School, where he was a member of the FCCLA and La Plata Youth Group.  He enjoyed wrestling, football and baseball.  He was a member of the Reading Presbyterian Church in Reading, Minnesota.

Cody passed away early Saturday morning, September 8, 2007 as a result of an automobile accident near La Plata, Missouri at seventeen years of age.

He is survived by his mother, Kay Koffron and step-father, Brian Koffron of Jackson, Minnesota.  He is also survived by his grandmother, Cindy Moriston of La Plata, Missouri; grandfather, Gary Deuschle of Reading, Minnesota; step-grandfather, Fred Moriston; great grandmother Lavonna Thackrey of Spirit Lake; step-grandparents, Norbert and Rosemary Koffron of Jackson, Minnesota; sister, Mary Koffron also of Jackson; step-sister, Nikole Koffron of Mason City; step-brothers Blake Koffron of Jackson and Dustin Koffron of Worthington, Minnesota; special friend, Jordan Robinson of La Plata, Missouri; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Mary Jo Lundgren, John and Evelyn Deuschle and Marvin Thackery and step-grandmother, Barb Deuschle.
