Anna L. Heikens Anna L. Heikens was born December 25, 1912 in Emden, Illinois, the daughter of Enno and Anna (Waggnarr) Eeten. She was raised and educated in Summit Township, Clay County, Iowa. Anna was united in marriage to Clarence W. Heikens on February 22, 1934 in Spencer, Iowa. The couple made their home in rural Milford, where they farmed and raised their children. Upon retirement from farming in 1976, Clarence and Anna moved into town. Anna was a member of Union Memorial Church in Milford, where she was involved in Guild. She enjoyed quilting, sewing and cooking. Anna passed away Saturday, February 10, 2007 at Lake Park Care Center in Lake Park at ninety-four years of age. She is survived by a son, Stan Heikens and his wife Jane, of Lake Park, Iowa; eleven grandchildren and twenty-nine great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, John Eeten of Spencer; sister, Louise Myers of Colorado; daughter-in-law, Anita Heikens-Early of Spirit Lake; son-in-law, John Ruml of LaGrande, OR; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Anna was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Clarence in 1978, daughter, Laraine Ruml in 1992; son, Edward in 1994; sisters, Goldie Wilson, Gertie Heikens, Hilda Groen, Marie Ketner, Irene Eeten and Inie Momsen; brothers, Harry, George, Harm, Ernie and Pete Eeten.
