William E. Willemssen, Jr. was born December 28, 1966, the son of William and Mary (Holst) Willemssen at Cherokee, Iowa.  Bill was raised and educated in Aurelia, graduating from Aurelia High School in 1985.

Bill enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews as well as working out at the fitness center.

Bill died Sunday, March 12, 2006 at the Orange City Municipal Hospital in Orange City, Iowa, after an auto accident, at thirty-nine years of age.

Bill is survived by his parents, Bill and Mary Willemssen of Spirit Lake; sister, Brenda Berger, her husband, Bruce and their children, Aubrey, Kylie, Emily and Kelsey of Sioux Falls, SD; sister Becky Glienke, her husband, Jeff and their children Dalton, Alyssa and Tyler of Spirit Lake.  He is also survived by his grandmother, Arlowene Willemssen of Sibley, Iowa; aunt and uncle Gene and Karen Holst of Spirit Lake; aunt, Myrna Willemssen of Sibley, Iowa; many cousins and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Tony Willemssen, uncle, Gordon Willemssen, Grandpa and Grandma Holst, uncle, Jim Holst and aunt Rosalie Holst.
