Shirlee Ann Gath was born on February 17, 1937 in Spirit Lake, IA, the daughter of Fay and Fern (Blum) Fronk.  She lived in Spirit Lake throughout her whole life.

On September 16, 2000, Shirlee was united in marriage to Ernest Gath.  She enjoyed spending the winters in Phoenix with her husband visiting family.  She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Spirit Lake.  Shirlee liked to sew, cook, the color blue and she liked flowers.  She was an avid reader and enjoyed her sweets.  Most of all she cherished her family. 

Shirlee passed away on March 10, 2006 in Rochester, MN at sixty-nine years of age. 
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Ernest, children, Kim Wittwer of Austin, TX, Pam Ludwig of Austin, TX, Dawn Blalack of Houston, TX, Kreg Enderson of Phoenix, AZ; twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren; sisters, Patricia Booth of Sioux City and Barb Kirshman of Phoenix, AZ.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
