Shirley Frank Shirley Kay Frank was born on September 9, 1940 in Estherville, Iowa to Lyle E. and Sareen (Alt) Andersen. She grew up in the Graettinger area and was baptized and confirmed at Bethel Lutheran Church. She attended the country schools and graduated from Graettinger High School in 1958. On October 2, 1961 she married Louis Dean Frank in Fairmont, MN. The couple was blessed with three children, Sarah, Lyle and Robert. Over the years she worked as a cook at Hilltop Care Center, Oak Haven Home and then retired in 2002 after about 10 years of working at Polaris Industries. Over the years she enjoyed crocheting afghans and her dog, Susie. Shirley died Tuesday, November 21, 2006 at her home after a long illness. She was preceded in death by her father. Surviving are her husband, Dean; children, Sarah Adams of Lake Park, Lyle of Spirit Lake and Robert of Lake Park; 5 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; mother, Sareen Andersen; and two sisters, Pat Flannery of Texas and Linda Andersen of Graettinger.
