Robert J. Mann was born December 19, 1916 at Woodbine, Iowa the son of Wallace C. and Mildred D. (Petersen) Mann. He entered the US Army Air Corps. on January 18, 1943 and served until receiving an Honorable Discharge on November 6, 1943 at the rank of Sergeant.

Robert was united in marriage to Marcelle “Sally” Titterington on November 3, 1940 in Algona, Iowa. The couple first made their home in Burbank, California, where he worked at Lockheed. They then moved to Missouri Valley, Iowa where he managed the Ready-Mix plant for several years. The couple retired and moved to Arnolds Park in 1974. He moved to Bella Vista, Arkansas in 2001.

Robert passed away Sunday, February 19, 2006 at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas at eighty-nine years of age.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marcelle “Sally” Mann.

Survivors include his sister, Elizabeth E. Markley of Spencer, Iowa; two nieces, Rene Markley of San Diego, California and Jan E. McClary of Bella Vista, Arkansas; a grand niece, grand nephew, a great-grand niece and a great-grand nephew.
