Laura Mary Mumm was born on March 30, 1918 in Cherokee, Iowa. She was the daughter of Clinton and Mae Cronable Hutton. She attended school in Worthington, Minnesota. Laura passed away on March 29, 2006 at the Lake Park Care Center.

Laura married Ernest Mumm on September 11, 1947 in Jackson, MN. They farmed for a few years south of Jackson until they moved to Ortonville, Minnesota where they farmed until 1954. They returned to a farm east of Lake Park before retiring to a home in Lake Park. Ernest passed away in 1984. Laura entered the Lake Park Care Center in April, 1998. Laura worked several years at Campbell Soup Company in Worthington, MN and was a waitress at the Sioux Valley Supper Club. Laura was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Lake Park, IA.

Laura is survived by three sons, Larry of Spencer, IA, Marvin of Pine City, MN and Donald (Denise) of Lake Park, IA; two grand-daughters, Deanna (Frank) Granados and Lisa (Albert) Koesters of Omaha, NE; one grandson Danny Mumm of St. Paul, MN; one brother Ralph (Nita) of Mesquite, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband, one sister Geraldine Morris, two half brothers Roy Hutton and Harold Hutton; two half sisters, Treva Walters and Mae Hacklowski.
