Lois Blair

Lois Maye Blair was born to Severt and Esther Stahly Mortvedt on May 9, 1920 at Harris, Iowa.  She graduated from Harris High School in 1937.

On August 9, 1940 she was united in marriage to William Keith Blair at Sioux City, Iowa. After Keith returned from military service in World War II, they moved to Lake Park where they lived for their remaining years.  They were the parents of three sons: Douglas, Daryl and Donald.  For many years they operated Blair Hardware in Lake Park.

Lois was a charter member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Lake Park.  She was also a member of the Lutheran Ladies Guild at Concordia Lutheran Church.  She enjoyed sports of all kinds, playing cards and fishing with Keith.

Following a brief illness, Lois passed away Monday, May 1st, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls.

Surviving is her son, Donald Blair and his wife, Susan, of Garvin, MN; grandchildren: Jackie (Allen) Glaser, Darren (Lisa) Blair, April Blair; step grandchildren: Heather (Kevin) Bristow, Heath Johnson, Haley (Paul) Rennerfeldt, Haven (Steve) Shalikow; great grandchildren: Justin, Brittany and Brandon Glaser, Courtney Blair, Sydney and Ty Blair and five step great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Keith, sons, Daryl and Douglas, grandson, Brian, sister, Phyllis Johnson.
