Kathy Chaffin Kathy Ann Chaffin was born January 21, 1948 at Spencer, Iowa to William (Bill) and June (England) Chaffin. She graduated from Milford Community High School in 1966. After studying computer operating in Colorado Springs, Colorado, she moved to Sarasota, Florida. It was there she was diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy. Moving back to Iowa in 1968, Kathy began her 10-year employment at Berkley’s in Spirit Lake. In 1980 she was married to Dennis Anderson. They made their home in Marathon, Iowa till, with declining health, Kathy moved back to Milford and then in 2000, to the Milford Nursing Center where she lived until her death on January 2, 2006. Growing up on the farm, Kathy loved all outdoor activities, especially horseback riding and fishing. She was always proud of her Camero and loved to go to street rod shows. She also enjoyed painting after taking art lessons as a young adult. In the nursing home, she played many hours of card games with her Mother, especially Skip-Bo. Surviving are her parents, Bill and June Chaffin, brother, Don and his wife, Verona Chaffin and sister-in-law JoAnn Chaffin, all of Milford. Also surviving are nieces and nephews.
