Joyce M. Grodahl was born June 13, 1928 in Sac City, Iowa, the daughter of Henry and Ethel (Byers) Presley. Joyce was raised and educated in Sac City, where she graduated high school.

Joyce owned and operated a Montgomery-Ward Catalog Store in Ida Grove, Iowa for several years. In retirement, Joyce loved playing Bingo, visiting Casinos and fishing.

Joyce was united in marriage to Bernard Grodahl on September 13, 2001. The couple made their home in Spirit Lake.

Joyce passed away June 16, 2006 at Milford Nursing Center in Milford at seventy-eight years of age.

She is survived by her husband, Bernard; sons, David Wright of Athens, Texas, and Don Wright of Des Moines, Iowa. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; siblings, Mae Arends, Dutch Presley and Scotty Presley; other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by a son in infancy, Dennis Wright, siblings, Sam Presley, Grace Presley, Irene Love, Anna Flink, Herb Presley, Elbert Presley and Bob Presley.
