John Patrick Egan was born September 10, 1962 in Algona, Iowa the son of Raymond and Diana (Cecil) Egan. He was raised and educated in West Bend, Iowa.

John moved to Denver, Colorado and worked as a professional glass installer. He moved to Spirit Lake in 1991.
John was a member of the Catholic faith.

John passed away at his home near Spirit Lake Tuesday, April 18, 2006 at forty-three years of age.

He is survived by his parents, Raymond and Diana Egan of Spirit Lake; sisters, Teresa Abbas and Lisa Egan; brothers, Robert Egan, David Egan and Jeff Egan; daughter, Kelly Hahn; other family and many friends.
