Frances Barnes Frances Effie Barnes was born to John and Lena (Veenstra) Heidgerken on March 11, 1907 at Kimball, Minnesota. She attended school in St. Cloud and Rockville, Minnesota. She and her family then moved to Edgerton, Minnesota in 1919. On August 13, 1926 she was united in marriage to Earl E. Barnes at Sioux Falls, South Dakota and to this union on daughter, Verona Mae was born. They resided at Pipestone, Minnesota before moving to Arnolds Park, Iowa where Earl operated Barnes Plumbing Company for many years. Mrs. Barnes passed away Sunday, October 29, 2006 at Milford Nursing Center where she has been a resident since March of this year. She was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church in Arnolds Park. Frances is survived by two grandsons, Tom Allen and his wife, Joanne of Bismarck, North Dakota and Denny Allen; three great grandchildren, Joshua, Justin and Alicia. She is also survived by a stepsister, Carrie Schelhaas of Edgerton, Minnesota. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Barnes in 1978, daughter, Verona Mae Allen, brother, Alfred Heidgerken and sister, Cecilia Vos. IN MEMORY SERVICE CLERGY MUSIC PALLBEARERS INTERMENT |
