Elaine R. Peters

Elaine Ruby Peters as born on October 3, 1924 in Heron Lake Township, Jackson County, Minnesota. Her parents were William and Bertha (Molkenthin) Doll. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith in Jackson, Minnesota. She attended parochial school at St. Peter Lutheran School in Jackson County and later graduated from Lakefield High School.

On January 7, 1951, Elaine was united in marriage to Darold Ihnen. To this union three children were born, Susan Kay, Kathryn Rae and Steven Darold. Darold passed away in 1959. On January 20, 1961, Elaine was united in marriage to Arlo Reimers. To this union two children were born, Lori Lee and Patricia Ann. Arlo passed away in 1963. On August 14, 1967, Elaine was married to Robert Peters, this marriage ended in divorce.

During her life Elaine worked as a bookkeeper and enjoyed bowling, gardening, bird watching and sewing. She always provided a loving home for her children.

Following a stroke Elaine passed away on December 24, 2006 at Lakes Regional Healthcare in Spirit Lake, IA at the age of eighty-two.

Survivors are her children, Susan Ehret of Harris, IA, Kathryn Perkins and her husband David of Lake Park, Steven Ihnen of Milford, Lori Stahly and her husband David of Lake Park and Patricia Delaney and her husband John of Lake Park; thirteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Berniece Baccus and her husband Oliver of Sayner, WI.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, one infant granddaughter, one brother, Donald and one sister, Millicent.
