Denton Duane Lux was born August 30, 1931 near Hartley, Iowa, the son of Emil and Lillian (Zaiser) Lux. He was raised and educated in Hartley, graduating from Hartley High School. He entered the US Army and served during the Korean War.

Denton was united in marriage to Connie Rausch on September 6, 1952 in Spencer, Iowa. The couple made their home in Everly, Albert City and Sutherland, Iowa.

Denton was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Everly, Iowa. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Denton passed away Saturday, April 8, 2006 at his home in rural Sutherland at seventy-four years of age.

He is survived by his wife Connie Lux of Sutherland; children Diane Kramer and her husband, Scott of Austin, Texas and Jeff Lux and his wife Carolina of Laurens, Iowa; grandchildren Elizabeth Kramer Halle, Emily Kramer Bubela and Amy Lux Hogrefe; and a sister, Sharon Nonneman of Camdenton, MD.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lillian and Emil Lux.
